New Deck

In honor of Kendall's first birthday - that is rapidly approaching - Nick and I decided to put a new deck on our house and re-do the landscaping. 

About a month ago, Nick tore the old deck off the house. Here is what the old deck looked like.

 Kendall helped in the take down of the deck.

Here is the house without the deck. Looks a little lonely.

The day after the above picture was taken, we had all the rocks removed from around the house. With all the rain, it's now one giant mud puddle! 

The rain & the cold weather also caused the deck project to be put on hold for awhile. Last weekend, there was a break in the weather, so Nick invited a friend over (thanks Russ!) and they got to work on the deck.

Kendall got a kick out of watching the action from the house. She spent most of her Saturday crawling over to check out the progress that had been made!
