Easter Eggs

We decorated Easter Eggs today for the first time as a little family. 

Nick and I learned a couple of new things today:

1. How to hard boil an egg. What? Neither of us like them or eat them...so we had never had to make them before. So after a quick google session, we learned you had to boil them and then put them in ice water. Kendall was a BIG help....

 2.  Dying Easter Eggs is a day long activity. Here's what we did in between making the hard boiled eggs and actually coloring the eggs. 

Ran Errands

Made cookies

Went for a walk and played at the park:

Picked up some sticks:

Finally, we got to color some eggs.

3.  We learned that apparently you should mix the egg coloring with vinegar to make it brighter. Just plain old water doesn't cut it anymore.
